Four suspects have been killed following a shootout with police in Yeoville, Johannesburg.
One additional alleged robber sustained injuries during the incident, which unfolded on Wednesday morning.
It is understood the group had been under police surveillance and were allegedly tracking a potential victim from the airport to their home.

The situation escalated when the alleged robbers attempted to evade law enforcement, triggering a high-speed chase through the area.
The pursuit ended in a shootout between police and the suspects.

Police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko confirmed officers are currently processing the scene.
“Active crime scene at Yeoville. Four suspects were fatally wounded, and one was injured. Three firearms recovered.”
