Five Men Hacked To Death In KZN, One Victim’s Arm Chopped Off

KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) police have launched a manhunt for suspects involved in the brutal killing of five men in the Bambayi area of Inanda. The victims were allegedly hacked to death with a bush knife.

KZN police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda said officers responded to reports of multiple murders early Friday morning.

“Upon arrival at the crime scenes, three bodies were found at a sports ground near a school. The other two bodies were discovered in another field, about a kilometre from the first crime scene,” Netshiunda explained.

Victims Kidnapped and Brutally Attacked

Preliminary investigations suggest the victims, aged between 19 and 26, were abducted from their homes around midnight. Their bodies, bearing multiple injuries, were discovered just after 6:30 a.m.

“One victim had his arm chopped off,” said Netshiunda, describing the gruesome nature of the attacks.

The motive behind the killings remains unclear at this stage. Police have urged anyone with information about the suspects to come forward by contacting their nearest police station or calling the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111.
