Five, Including Girls Aged 2 And 6, Stabbed To Death In Bergville KZN

The small community of Bergville in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands experienced a horrific tragedy when five individuals, including two young girls, were brutally stabbed to death.

This shocking incident occurred in the Bethany area, where tensions escalated into violent actions supposedly led by a family member.

Victims and Surviving Family Members

Among the victims were two innocent girls, aged just two and six years, whose lives were cut short by this senseless violence.

Additionally, a woman who lived with disabilities and another elderly visitor lost their lives in the attack. Fortunately, two family members, including the suspect’s mother and a four-year-old girl, survived but sustained multiple stab wounds. The suspect’s sister also managed to escape with her one-year-old baby, highlighting the chaos that ensued during the incident.

Response from Authorities

According to police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda, the circumstances of the attack have raised several alarms, particularly regarding the suspect’s history. Preliminary investigations indicated that multiple domestic violence-related cases had been opened against him in the past, all of which had been voluntarily withdrawn.
