Family Heirloom:50-Year-Old Brass Lamp Stolen

A priceless family heirloom imported from India, has been stolen from a businesswoman’s home in Reservoir Hills, KZN.

The 50-year-old brass lamp, which holds sentimental value, was passed down through three generations and was stored in the family temple.

Malawian National Sought For Theft

A 25-year-old Malawian national, known as Steven, is being sought for the theft of the brass lamp.

According to coworkers, Steven stole the lamp after a birthday party on March 2nd, 2025 when he failed to secure money to fund his return to Malawi.

He has not been seen since and is believed to be on a bus heading for the border.

Public Urged To Assist In Recovery

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) is urging the public to assist in recovering the stolen lamp.
