Ethekwini Police Hunt Theft Suspect Linked To Multiple Car Break-Ins

Detectives from the South African Police Service (SAPS) are appealing to the public for assistance in tracking down a suspect wanted for a string of thefts in Ethekwini, KwaZulu-Natal.

The man, whose identity is still unknown, has been captured on CCTV cameras on several occasions breaking into vehicles parked at local premises. Authorities have confirmed he is linked to at least four separate theft cases.

Getaway Car Identified With False Plates

After each incident, the suspect fled the scene in a red Renault bearing the registration number BY38SV-ZN. Investigators have since confirmed that the plates are false, making it more difficult to trace the vehicle.

Police are urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward.

“Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is urged to contact Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at 086 1234 333,” said authorities.
