Now, for those of you not in the know, Gogo Maweni, whose real name is Makgotso Lee-anne Makopo, had already tied the knot with Mgube in a civil ceremony some years ago. But they wanted something extra special this time around!
Planning for months, the couple went all out to ensure their traditional Zulu wedding was nothing short of spectacular. With family, friends, and even some celebs in attendance, they pulled off quite the shindig.
Dressed in stunning traditional isizulu regalia, they danced up a storm before the formalities got underway. If you thought that was it, think again – the reception was a lavish affair, with the pair swapping traditional attire for suave black outfits.
As if the day couldn’t get any sweeter, Maweni and Mgube had a 5-tier cake that was almost too beautiful to eat! Cutting into it, the new Mrs. Magube fed her hubby a piece, and he did the same for her.
It was picture-perfect and, honestly, quite touching. The joy and love between them were palpable, a real treat for all the guests who had gathered to celebrate this next chapter in their lives together.
Now, it’s no secret that Gogo Maweni has three kids from previous relationships. She’s been quite open about her experiences and has always cautioned against having multiple sexual partners.
