The Wife viewers were glued to their screens as their favourite series aired on Thursday. As you may know, the first three episodes of Showmax’s third and final season were released on Thursday, giving viewers a taste of the new Mqhele, played by Wiseman Mcube.
Wiseman succeeds Bonko Khoza, who won Best Actor at the SAFTAs this year and was dubbed the “National Husband” by Twitter.

This season, Hlomu and Mqhele’s love story remains complicated. Mqhele is still “dark and abusive,” according to Wiseman, and they’re “deep into toxic love now,” according to Mbalenhle Mavimbela.
Viewers couldn’t get enough of the new Mqhele and the chemistry he shares with Hlomu. The cherry on top was when he closed his eyes to kiss Hlomu. Check out the reactions below:
