The River’s fifth season is coming to an end in just two episodes. A season in which some of our favourite original cast members will be saying their final goodbyes to the telenovela.
This includes Hlomla Dandala as Zweli Dikana, who has already landed his latest acting gig as part of the Fences cast.

Tango Ncetezo, who plays Paulina, is also set to say goodbye to her role because it is believed that her confrontation with Angelina will result in her being shot and the identity of her child never being revealed.
The aforementioned actors have no plans to celebrate their five-year stay as members of the stellar cast, unlike Lawrence Maleka, who plays Zolani Dlamini … he has shared plans to celebrate his exit from the play with his fans.
Lawrence Maleka took to Twitter recently to share how he plans to celebrate his time on the title as Zolani Dlamini as season five of The River winds down.
Lawrence actually started off his acting career with the program and could be said to have grown so much in the industry, a growth that has also attracted other gigs including being the anchor for the famous BBMzansi and BBTitans reality TV show hosted by MNet.
But, unlike Lunga Tshabalala, who was criticized for his acting skills while still on The River, Lawrence quickly became a duo that many will miss after Zolani is killed off during their showdown against Mabutho, thanks to his observation of veteran Sindi Dlathu.
If the season five finale will take place on Thursday, February 2, 2023, as planned, Lawrence intends to host a final episode farewell watch party at an unspecified location per his Twitter post.
