
SABC has decided to place Uzalo on the chopping board this comes after it gave a warning to the producers of the popular soapie.
Just a week back the viewers of the show agreed with the SABC when it said the soapie’s current storyline is boring its viewers. Viewers have on several occasion taken to their social media timelines to complain that Uzalo has lost its plot and is bringing in unnecessary characters.

Reports stated the SABC has told the writing team of the show to get it together. They have been instructed to come up with a better storyline or risk getting dropped. Uzalo was once the most viewed show in the country, peaking at 11.4 million viewers. However, according to the Broadcast Research Council of South Africa, Uzalo’s viewership dropped drastically to 8.8 million viewers.
Now with all this said the broadcasting station has decided to press a pause on the soapie thus saying they’ll be no season 7 anytime soon. Taking us through the future plans of the doomed soapie was entertainment commentator Phil Mphela who confirmed that they’ve put a halt on the soapie until further notice.
