It seems like the plot thickens in the ongoing trial of the murder of former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper, Senzo Meyiwa.
After explosive allegations were made against singer Kelly Khumalo, accusing her of ordering the hit on Meyiwa, her slain boyfriend’s brother has come forward with some serious accusations of his own.

Investigating Officer Brigadier Bongani Gininda testified in court, claiming that two of the accused individuals implicated Khumalo as the mastermind behind the murder.
However, Sifiso Meyiwa, the brother of the deceased soccer star, vehemently denies these allegations and accuses Gininda of being a liar and corrupt.
In an exclusive interview with eNCA, Sifiso Meyiwa dismissed the alleged confessions and claimed that Gininda fabricated everything to protect his own interests.
He boldly stated, “I will keep on saying this until it’s proven because we’ve got evidence…I know Gininda is lying, this is how he operates, most people don’t know Brigadier Gininda. I know him, I’ve followed his cases…He’s lying, Kelly didn’t hire hitmen to kill Senzo.”
Sifiso’s conviction in his sister-in-law’s innocence is unwavering. Despite evidence being presented in court linking Khumalo to some of the murder accused, he firmly believes that she was not involved. Instead, he accuses Gininda of planting evidence and manipulating the case to fit his narrative.
The experienced police officer’s tactics do not escape Sifiso’s scrutiny. Having worked in a police station for over 20 years, he claims to have seen how hitmen operate and believes that the murder scene does not resemble the work of a professional hitman.
He argues, “There’s no hitman who uses one bullet to kill their target…I’ve seen cases where hitmen killed people. No hitman comes into a house and then uses one bullet to kill their target, especially if he has been paid.”
Sifiso goes on to accuse the state of being in collusion with Gininda, asserting that they are not seeking justice for his brother’s death.
In court, one of the accused individuals claimed that Gininda offered him R3 million for a confession that would “right people” in the murder. Although Gininda denies making such an offer, Sifiso firmly believes that the offer was made.
According to Sifiso, there have been multiple attempts to bribe individuals into confessing to the murder of Senzo Meyiwa.
He claims that one person even tried to confess before a magistrate in Pietermaritzburg but was promptly dismissed. These alleged confessions, he argues, are not new and have been happening throughout the investigation.
While Sifiso and his family do not believe that Kelly Khumalo had any involvement in Senzo’s murder, they are adamant that she tells the truth. Sifiso emphasizes, “Even though Senzo was married, Kelly loved him, she wouldn’t have killed him.”
He vows to seek justice until the real perpetrator is behind bars, promising to continue his pursuit as long as he lives.
