Just when you thought the saga between Sizwe Dhlomo and Unathi Nkayi was over, it seems we’re back to square one. Unathi has threatened to sue Kaya FM on multiple counts, citing reputational damage and a host of other grievances.
In the midst of this brewing legal storm, Sizwe appears utterly unbothered, sparking amusement and scepticism among netizens.
Apparently, being fired by the station wasn’t the final chapter in this saga. Buckle up, bafethu; it looks like we’re back to square one.
For those who need a quick recap: Unathi and Sizwe Dhlomo had a public fallout that led to her exit from Kaya FM. She accused him of verbal abuse and unprofessional conduct, claims that rocked the social media boat.
In a recent interview on Podcast and Chill, Unathi laid out her case against Kaya FM, citing illegal recording, criminal defamation, and so much more. In her words, “I’m getting slander, defamation of character, emotional damage, psychological damage, reputational damage, loss of income. Those are all things I’m suing Kaya for.” Strong words, indeed.

Sizwe Dhlomo, on the other hand, seems to be the epitome of calm amidst this storm. His response to Unathi’s threats? A dismissive, “There’s no smoke here, please, man. There’s a reason why she doesn’t bring that nonsense to me. lol!”

The most you’ll ever get for defamation is R 250 k. My legal fees alone would probably be that. https://t.co/cuuttxnTr6

I’m the one who’s still employed by the station. She’s the one who lied about me & is now trying to sue the station because I proved that she’s a liar. Lol! You can figure this one out yourself bro. https://t.co/j0Hccrrb79

Also, a matter going to the High Court is not determined at will. All civil matters of R 400 k or more have to go there. She’s the plaintiff, she should know why her lawyers filed there. Stupidity nje, all around.

Unathi might be pulling out all the legal stops, but Sizwe remains unphased, much to the amusement of netizens.
And the internet? Oh, they had a field day! Twitter (or X, for the rebranded souls) was flooded with reactions. User @chrisexcel102 quipped, “She thinks we’re all from Hamanskraal.” @dingswayo_n was stunned, “Wait, after this long, she has been looking for loopholes? A bitter woman is dangerous!”

The ever-witty @krugersville joked, “She thinks you were born in Jukulyn.” Reggie’s comment, “Knowing you actually studied law makes me believe your utterances about this clowning!” also added some spice. And @siphonzuza1972 topped it off with, “Since when is Unathi a legal expert? I think the vaccine is a problem here.”
It seems we’re back to square one with this drama still very much alive. Whether Unathi’s threats will amount to anything remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – the entertainment is far from over.
