Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande, who were arrested in connection with the murders of Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, are anticipated to be extradited to South Africa. The tragic incident occurred in February last year when Forbes and Motsoane were gunned down exiting the Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban.
Following a series of court appearances and a considerable reluctance by the Ndimande brothers to return to South Africa, the Manzini Magistrate’s Court accepted the extradition application against the accused this past Friday.
Although it is unclear when the brothers will make their way back to South Africa, their return will see them joining their co-accused in court for the subsequent appearances.
Upon their return, Siyabonga and Malusi Ndimande will join individuals already in custody: Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, Lindani Ndimande, Siyanda Myeza, Mziwethemba Gwabeni, and Lindokuhle Ndimande. These co-accused are linked not only to the murders of Kiernan Forbes and Tebello Motsoane but also to other murders, such as those of Mntimande Kunene, Nhlanhla Ngcobo, and Zamokuhle Mkhwanazi-Ngcobo, which occurred in Amanzimtoti and Berea respectively.
Meanwhile, those accused who are already in South Africa remain behind bars after their bail application was denied. As the legal proceedings move forward, both the public and the justice system are closely watching the case to see how the extradition and further court appearances will unfold.
