Kaybee’s reply was raw and unfiltered. ‘I was just hungry and fed up of the shit we did in the streets,’ he wrote. He recounted a particularly harrowing experience where he and a friend, who operated an illegal cab, were scammed by someone posing as a mechanic.
This scam was orchestrated in collusion with the taxi association, leaving Kaybee and his friend feeling betrayed and at a dead end.
That moment of disillusionment became a catalyst for change. ‘All that was another reminder that we will die if we carry on,’ Kaybee explained.
This realization fueled the creation of ‘Better Days,’ a song born out of desperation and the desire for a brighter future. The track, featuring Audrey, resonated with many and has indeed stood the test of time.
