Elaine has just gone platinum for her self made EP Elements. Elaine is a South African R&B singer and songwriter who has stolen the hearts of many through her music, she comes all the way from Pretoria. The You’re the one hitmaker took to social media to announce the news.

The 22-year-old Elaine self-released her EP Elements last year in September, whilst she was studying law at the University of Witwatersrand. Her Ep reached number one on both iTunes and Apple Music album charts. Elaine was declared the first independent female to top the charts on the two charts, in March this year she was the most streamed female artist from South Africa on Spotify.

Many of her fans this week were angry because she had not received any SAMA nomination this year, after hearing the news of her EP going platinum we’re pretty sure they will forgive and forget about her not being nominated.
