Emtee the Hustler hits back on the claims that a ghostwriter wrote Roll-Up, his 2015 breakthrough single and one of his biggest hits to date.
Taking to Twitter the rapper claimed that it was impossible fora ghostwriter to compose the song because “Roll Up was a freestyle, but someone keeps claiming they wrote it for me. Lol.”
Emtee obtained the Song of the Year prize on the Roll-Up song, at the SA Hip-Hop Awards in 2015 and the Record of the Year award at the 2016 SA Music Awards.
Sick and tired of people always after popularity, The Hustler tweeted: “Can I get through today without hearing a lie … ”

Emtee’s remarks came after he discovered that his name was trending on Twitter after a social media fan announced that the successful singer’s time was over.
A fan said the likes of Donald, Dr. Malinga, DJ Cleo, iFani, Big Zulu, Khuli Chana, Heavy T, Professor, and Emtee needed to understand their music careers had come to an end and were now irrelevant. He said they needed to step back and grant others the opportunity to glow.
