The music world was deeply shaken when news broke of Malome Vector’s tragic passing in a car crash on 24 July. The beloved artist, whose real name was Bokang Moleli, was just 32 years old.
On Saturday, 10 August, Malome Vector was laid to rest in his hometown of Lesotho, more than two weeks after the accident.
Friends, family, and colleagues gathered to pay their last respects to the talented musician at a heartfelt funeral service held at Christ the King High School sports grounds in Roma section, Maseru.

Also killed in the accident was fellow artist LizwiWokuqala, who was buried on Sunday, 4 August. The two were on their way to Lesotho to shoot a music video when their vehicle collided with a heavy truck, resulting in an instant fatality.
The loss of these two individuals was a double blow to their fans and the broader music community. They were both on the ascent, leaving behind a legacy that many will remember fondly.
