Popular South African artist Solomon Molokoane, affectionately known by his stage name, Solly Moholo, who fell ill following performances in Botswana early August has died.
His management team announced the heartbreaking news on Wednesday, revealing that he departed on October 2, 2024, while in hospital.

According to the statement the gospel singer passed on today whilst in hospital. “Solly Moholo was hospitalised after falling ill following his pre-album launch tour in Botswana. He will be sorely missed. May his laughter continue to echo the walls of heaven. Let us remember him fondly for the healing music he gave us over the years,” the statement further reads.
Time of Mourning and Reflection
The Molokoane family has requested privacy during this difficult time as they come to terms with their loss and prepare for his memorial.
