Kelly Khumalo has lost engagements since being linked to one of the individuals on trial in the North Gauteng High Court for the murder of late Bafana Bafana player Senzo Meyiwa.
While everyone is clamouring for Kelly’s cancellation, one of her closest friends and socialite Somizi Mhlongo is rooting for her.

On August 19, he will perform Shades of Pink at Emperors Palace in Ekurhuleni. Somizi made a daring effort to encourage his buddy Kelly by inviting her to appear on his show next Saturday.
Kelly is the event’s major attraction, with her face on the Shades of Pink poster. Kelly and Somizi have known each other for over a decade.
According to a source close to the two celebrities, Somizi is proud of his pals, especially those who stood with him during the difficult times following Mohale’s assault allegations.
A Somizi source was quoted as saying, “Somizi does not go with what social media thinks, he stands his ground.”
Recall that Somizi was also cancelled in 2021 after his former lover Mohale Motaung accused him of physical abuse during an explosive interview.

The radio personality, on the other hand, disputed the charges. When the media personality was scheduled for various engagements, some of those who had cancelled Somizi had to swallow a bitter pill.
Attempts to reach Somizi and Kelly yielded no results, as both of their phones rang unanswered and they did not respond to our email.
