Television presenter and comedian Tumi ‘Stopnonsons’ Matila is set to appear in court a day after Women’s Day for allegedly assaulting and pointing a firearm at his girlfriend Thando Ngemane.
He was arrested and detained at the Honeydew Police Station after she reported the incident on Tuesday.

Stopnons, who spent a night in holding cells, will appear before the Randburg magistrates court appearance on two charges of pointing a firearm and assault.
Captain Mavela Masondo, a police spokesperson, confirmed that the popular comedian had been arrested and will appear in Randburg magistrate’s court on Thursday.

“Police can confirm that a 31-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with assault and pointing of firearm He is expected to appear before the Randburg Magistrates court on Thursday, August 10,” Masondo said.
More details revealed that Stopnons, also known by his stage as Jumaimai, pointed a gun at Ngemane and three of her friends during a party.
