In a recent development, the Durban Magistrate’s Court has ordered the alleged killers of rapper Kiernan Forbes, popularly known as AKA, and his friend, Tebello Motsoane (Tibz), to uncover their faces during their court appearance. At least five suspects are currently standing trial for the murder.
When the five suspects entered the dock, they had their faces covered, which raised concerns among the public and the victims’ families. Tony Forbes, AKA’s father, expressed his frustration and the desire for the public to see the faces of those accused of taking his son’s life.

Currently, seven people are in police custody, with two of the suspects arrested in Eswatini over the weekend. Among those arrested are two shooters, two spotters, and the organiser of firearms and vehicles involved in the crime.
