When it comes to surprising his fans, Chris Brown knows how to make a grand gesture.
The American singer recently made headlines when he gifted South African young singer, Naledi Aphiwe, with a brand new iPhone 12. And the best part? Naledi refers to Chris Brown as her dad!
Naledi took to her Instagram account to share the exciting news with her followers.
She posted pictures of herself with the shiny new phone and captioned it with, “So my dad Chris Brown bought me an iPhone 12 😩❤️isn’t that cute!💁😂.”
But this surprise gift wasn’t the only thing that Naledi received from Chris Brown. It turns out that he also paid her over R50 000 for sampling her song on his latest album, 11:11. Talk about a double whammy!
In an interview with reporters, the 17-year-old sensation shared the story behind the viral video that caught Chris Brown’s attention.
“I was in my classroom during examinations, and we were all bored. We decided to sing, and to our surprise, our class teacher actually encouraged us to continue. He even recorded a clip on his phone,” Naledi explained.
She went on to express her gratitude towards her teacher, saying, “If it wasn’t for my teacher, I wouldn’t be able to fulfil my dreams.”
It’s heartwarming to see how a small moment can lead to life-changing opportunities. And with Chris Brown as her “dad,” Naledi Aphiwe’s future in the music industry seems brighter than ever.
