The police in Limpopo have launched an extensive manhunt for suspects following the brutal murder of a 92-year-old woman in the Waterberg district.
The elderly victim was asleep in her eight-roomed house when unknown assailants broke in and committed the heinous act at Ga-Choke in the Sterkwater area on Thursday night.
According to police spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba, the victim was later found in the bathroom, bound with a cloth. Following the brutal attack, the unknown suspects set the house on fire before fleeing the scene.
This shocking event has deeply unsettled the local community, who are now grappling with the loss and the uncertainty of justice being served. A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the specific cause of death.

Just two weeks ago, two elderly individuals aged 70 and 77 were killed in separate incidents in the Sekhukhune and Capricorn districts, respectively. Commissioner Hadebe emphasized the crucial role that community support plays in solving these crimes and ensuring the safety of all residents.
