Emtee Runs Back Home To His Wife After Cheating Drama: “I’m Fighting For My Family”

South African hip hop star Emtee just served up the real-life drama we didn’t know we needed — and now, it looks like he’s back home, begging for peace, love, and family unity after weeks of being dragged online.
Emtee’s Dirty Laundry Hits the Streets
The “Pearl Thusi” hitmaker has been trending for all the wrong reasons lately. August 2025 was nothing short of a storm after Emtee’s alleged cheating scandal went viral. His name was all over social media when accusations surfaced that he was stepping out on his wife, Nicole Chinsamy, with multiple women.

But things really went left when alleged DMs with former Big Brother Mzansi star Mshini popped up on his Instagram page on August 12. South Africans were quick to sip the tea, with Emtee being dragged across timelines.
The rapper wasted no time clearing the air, releasing a statement to set the record straight: “I do not know Mshini personally. Like most people, I watched her on Big Brother and witnessed how she supports my craft.”
He insisted there was nothing romantic brewing, adding: “I intended to meet her personally and thank her. She has been nothing but kind to me, and I appreciate that. I’m ‘married,’ so I had no other intention but to say thank you and figure out a way we could work together.”
From Headlines to Healing
While the social media streets roasted him, behind the scenes Emtee was wrestling with his reality. According to TshisaLIVE, the father of three had been away from his marital home for days as the drama unfolded.

Now, the award-winning rapper says he’s back home and ready to fight for what matters most: his family. “I haven’t moved out completely yet. It is what it is. I don’t want any problems; I’m fighting for my family. Nicole gave me three children. We are still working on it. I got a bit of counselling. We met a couple of times and we spoke. Through us meeting and talking we decided let’s build our family. When we were apart for those few months I was depressed,” he told the publication.
Back in the House, But Is It Forgive and Forget?
Sis, the internet might still be side-eyeing, but Emtee is on a redemption arc. He’s openly admitted his flaws, saying: “I know I’m not perfect. Very far from it, but I have heart and empathy.”
With counselling, reconciliation talks, and some family rebuilding on the cards, Emtee seems determined to fix what broke. Whether Nicole fully forgives him or not, only time (and maybe the next trending hashtag) will tell.
