Elderly Couple Found Murdered At Crags Farm As Police Arrest Suspect

An elderly couple was found murdered at their farmhouse in Glen Loerie in the Crags, near Plettenberg Bay, after a family member raised concerns when they could not be reached.
Charlotte Luck became concerned when her mother failed to collect her child after a scheduled activity and did not respond to repeated calls. Neighbours were asked to check on the property, where the bodies of Jane Luck and Rolf Luck were discovered inside the residence.
Crags Police Trace Vehicle, Suspect Apprehended
Police spokesperson Chris Spies said the couple’s Mercedes-Benz was later detected by a licence plate recognition system travelling at high speed on the R339 towards Uniondale.
“The vehicle was subsequently flagged on a local security WhatsApp group,” Spies said.
Police proceeded to the registered address linked to the vehicle, where the victims were found with multiple injuries.

A search operation was launched for the vehicle, which was later found overturned near Uniondale. The driver fled the scene on foot but was apprehended shortly thereafter.
The 34-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrate’s Court.
Investigation Underway, Motive Yet to Be Confirmed
Police have not yet confirmed a motive for the attack. Initial information indicates that a vehicle and several items, including electronic equipment and bicycles, were taken from the property.
Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
