Eerste River Shooting Leaves Two Dead And Teen Injured Amid Cape Flats Violence

Two people were shot dead and a teenage boy wounded in a brazen attack in Eerste River on the Cape Flats, prompting a heightened police presence in the area.
Police spokesperson Wesley Twigg confirmed that the victims had been standing in the road when a white vehicle pulled up next to them. One of the occupants allegedly opened fire before the vehicle sped away.
Twigg said, “Murder and attempted murder cases were registered for investigation. Meanwhile, SAPS, together with other Law Enforcement agencies, are in the affected area conducting crime prevention initiatives to combat gang violence and to stabilise and restore calm to the area.”
