Eastern Cape School Shooting: Teacher Killed, Two Educators Critically Injured In Ntabankulu

An educator has been killed and two others left fighting for their lives after a shooting at a school in Ntabankulu, Eastern Cape.

The incident unfolded at Ntabankulu Junior Secondary School, where a man armed with a firearm opened fire on educators during a meeting, according to local ward councillor Mlungisi Dinwayo, who was at the scene.

Dinwayo said the suspect was a former teacher at the school. One educator died at the scene, while the injured were rushed to hospital in a serious condition.

According to Dinwayo, the gunman arrived at the school and targeted educators who were gathered in a meeting. The incident caused panic among staff and the surrounding community.

Dinwayo further alleged that the suspect had previously been accused of raping children at the school.
