East London Deputy Principal Denied Bail In Shocking Human Trafficking Case

The East London Magistrate’s Court has denied bail to 52-year-old Vuyokazi Gana, a deputy principal from the Eastern Cape, who faces serious allegations of human trafficking and forcing young girls into prostitution.

Gana, who works at a local school, was arrested after police uncovered evidence suggesting that her home in Quigney, East London, was allegedly being used as a brothel.

She has since been charged with multiple counts related to human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

During her bail hearing, the court emphasised the severity of the charges and the potential risks associated with her release.

East London: Court Cites Witness Safety in Bail Decision

Magistrates ruled that granting bail to Gana would pose a serious threat to witnesses, as she is allegedly aware of their identities. The prosecution argued that her release could jeopardise the integrity of the case and place victims in danger.

Gana remains in custody as investigations continue. The court has yet to announce the next date for her appearance.
