E-Hailing Driver Hijacked And Abandoned In Waterloo, KZN

An e-hailing driver’s trip turned into a nightmare after he was hijacked under false pretences in Waterloo, KwaZulu-Natal. The 30-year-old victim had accepted what seemed like a normal ride request when he was ambushed by four men.
According to details released, the driver was operating a Toyota Rumion with registration BC 56 DC ZN when the suspects struck. Two of them were armed with handguns.
Victim Robbed and Dumped in Ndondolo
The suspects tied and blindfolded the victim before robbing him of his cellphone and shoes. He was then driven away from the scene and abandoned in Ndondolo, KZN.
Stripped of his belongings and shaken from the ordeal, the driver was left stranded and helpless in the area.

Despite the trauma, the victim managed to flag down a passerby for help. Using their cellphone, he contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), who responded to the emergency.
Authorities have not yet confirmed any arrests, and investigations are ongoing.
