Durban Teen Missing After Leaving Bluff School With Adult Male
A search is under way for a teenage girl who went missing after leaving her school premises in Bluff, south of Durban, earlier this week.
Aisha Jae Harrilall (15) was last seen on Monday, 26 January 2026, after she reportedly left during school hours and has not returned since.
Teen Vanishes After Leaving School in Bluff
Aisha is a resident at a youth centre in Bluff, where she has been staying since 28 November 2025. She is currently a Grade 7 learner at a school in the same area.
According to information released, Aisha left the school grounds during the school day in the company of an adult male who was working on the premises as a contractor.
After leaving, she contacted her sister using the man’s cellphone and informed her that she was running away and would not be returning home.
Conflicting Accounts Raise Concern
During the phone call, Aisha told her sister that she had been dropped off at the Palmview Drive traffic lights in Phoenix.
The school alerted Aisha’s mother at around 12:00. While trying to trace her daughter, the mother contacted the same cellphone number used during the call. The phone was answered by a male who claimed he had dropped Aisha off on the N2 near Cornubia/Mt Edgecombe — a version of events that contradicts the earlier account.

These inconsistencies have heightened concern for the teenager’s safety.
What Aisha Was Wearing When She Went Missing
At the time of her disappearance, Aisha was wearing her school uniform.
She is described as:
- Short in height
- Fair in complexion
- Slightly chubby in build
- Shoulder-length hair
Authorities and community safety organisations are appealing to the public for assistance in locating her.
