In her TikTok video, posted on Friday, 22 August 2025, Dr Ziphozenkosi reflected on the road to motherhood, revealing how she endured years of heartbreak and pressure before conceiving.

She admitted that the questions from family, in-laws, and social media made the situation worse, especially since her husband already had children. She later revealed that after undergoing an undisclosed surgery, she was finally able to conceive her firstborn.

“It was even more pressure because Dumi had kids, so everything was pointing towards me,” she recalled.

Why They Named Their Son Neyamenkosi

Dr Mthembu explained that the birth of her second son felt like a second chance at grace. She broke down in tears when she found out she was pregnant again, saying she couldn’t believe that God remembered her twice.

“When I found out I was pregnant with my second child, I broke down. I thought, Lord, I thank you. I don’t know what I did to deserve such grace. I named him Neyamenkosi so my children always remember to lean on God.”
