DJ Warras Murder Case: Suspect Victor Majola Denied Bail

The suspect linked to the murder of popular media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock will remain behind bars after the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court denied him bail.

Victor Mthethwa Majola appeared in court on Monday, facing charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder. He was arrested on 22 December 2025 in connection with Stock’s killing.

Stock was fatally shot on 16 December outside a building near the Carlton Centre in Johannesburg’s central business district (CBD). He was reportedly approached by three unknown suspects who opened fire before fleeing the scene on foot. He was laid to rest on 23 December following a funeral service at the Rosebank Catholic Church.

Court Rejects DJ Warras Murder Suspect’s Bail 

In delivering her ruling, the magistrate found that Majola failed to convince the court that he has a fixed address.

“The applicant submitted two conflicting addresses,” she said.

This, the court noted, raised serious concerns about the accused’s reliability and ability to comply with bail conditions if released.

Magistrate Questions Video Evidence and Alibi

The presiding officer also expressed doubts about the video evidence submitted in support of Majola’s bail application, finding it unreliable.

“What I have noted from the video footage, it is not clear. It is blurry and blacked out,” she remarked.

The magistrate further pointed out that Majola’s alibi had not been tested in court. On this basis, she rejected the bail application.

The matter has been postponed to 11 February to allow for further investigations.
