DJ Warras Murder Case: Mother Warns Accused Could Flee If Granted Bail

The mother of media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock has voiced serious concerns that the man accused of involvement in her son’s killing could evade justice if released on bail.

The Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court is set to deliver its decision on Victor Majola’s bail application when proceedings resume on Monday.

Prosecutors allege that Majola played a central role in orchestrating the killing, which occurred last month. According to the investigating officer, personal details of DJ Warras and those of his partner were discovered on Majola’s mobile phone.

Bail Hearing Looms in DJ Warras Murder Case

DJ Warras was shot and killed outside a building in Johannesburg last month, sending shockwaves through the media and entertainment industry.

The state has argued that releasing Majola would pose a risk to public safety and the integrity of the case, citing concerns over possible witness intimidation and the likelihood of the accused absconding.

Mother Fears Witness Intimidation and Flight Risk

Speaking to SABC News, Beverly Stock said she supports the state’s opposition to bail, stressing her belief that the accused would not stand trial if released.

“I am very much agreeing with how the state presented their case that the accused would present a danger if he is let out on bail.

“He would intimidate witnesses and because I, myself are from rural KZN, I know that he would be a flight risk and we would never find him in the foothills of KwaZulu Natal.”
