DJ Warras Murder Case: Chilling CCTV Footage Shows Two Men Allegedly Involved In Fatal Shooting

New developments have emerged in the tragic killing of renowned broadcaster DJ Warras, born Warrick Stock, and they are sending chills across Mzansi.

CCTV footage allegedly showing two men involved in the fatal shooting of the beloved DJ has now surfaced, and it has become a key focus in court proceedings as the case unfolds.

DJ Warras Shooting: CCTV Footage Takes Centre Stage in Court

The footage was closely examined during the bail application of Victor Mthethwa Majola, who remains the only suspect currently in custody for DJ Warras’ murder.

According to testimony presented in court, the CCTV footage allegedly captures two men believed to be the gunman and his accomplice, working together before and after the shooting.

On Tuesday, 16 December 2025, DJ Warras was seen exiting the Zambesi Building, a hijacked property on Von Wielligh Street in Marshalltown, Johannesburg, at around 12:16pm. He was wearing a black T-shirt and was accompanied by a man dressed in a white T-shirt.

The broadcaster was reportedly at the building to assist with the installation of a biometric system in the foyer. After exiting, the two men walked out of the camera’s view in the direction of Fox Street.

The Broadcaster’s Final Movements Caught on Camera

In court, the investigating officer testified that DJ Warras briefly approached an Audi Q7 he had been using, which was parked a few metres away near informal street vendors.

According to the officer, Warras opened the passenger-side door and got into the vehicle while speaking on his mobile phone. He then closed and locked the vehicle before walking back towards Zambesi House.

Just 54 seconds later, at approximately 12:17pm, the CCTV footage shows people suddenly ducking and scattering, indicating the moment the shots were allegedly fired. Amid the chaos, the alleged shooter was captured on camera moving through the crowd.

What the CCTV Footage Allegedly Shows

The footage reviewed in court allegedly shows the suspected gunman wearing a green T-shirt, blue floral shorts, sandals and a cap.

While fleeing the scene, the suspect is said to have doubled back and picked up an object from the ground, believed to be the keys to the Audi Q7 used by DJ Warras. These keys were never recovered.

After retrieving the item, the suspect is seen calmly walking towards Fox Street, a detail that has raised further questions.

From another CCTV angle, a second suspect is allegedly seen collecting two bags near the informal street vendors. One of the bags, described as a dark yellow gift bag, is believed by investigators to have been used to conceal the firearm.

Moments later, the alleged shooter is seen following his accomplice as the pair make their way towards Fox Street, disappearing from view.

With only one suspect currently in custody, the emergence of this CCTV footage has intensified public interest in the case and renewed calls for justice for DJ Warras, whose death sent shockwaves through South Africa’s broadcasting industry.
