DJ Warras Murder: Two Suspects To Appear In Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court

Two suspects linked to the murder of well-known media personality Warrick Stock, popularly known as DJ Warras, are expected to make their first court appearance at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court.
The pair were arrested by police on Monday at a hostel in Soweto following investigations into the fatal shooting.

Stock was gunned down last week in Johannesburg’s central business district at a building known as Zambesi House, sending shockwaves through the media and entertainment community.
The late DJ Warras was laid to rest on Tuesday, with mourners gathering in Rosebank to bid farewell to the respected broadcaster and DJ.
Police Praise as Arrests Made in DJ Warras Killing
The Gauteng provincial government has praised law enforcement for acting swiftly in apprehending the two men believed to be connected to the killing.
Police spokesperson Brenda Muridili confirmed that investigations are still ongoing, with authorities pursuing other individuals who may be involved.

“They will be charged with the murder of DJ Warras and will appear at the Johannesburg Magistrate’s court on Wednesday, 24 December 2025,” Muridili said.
Calls for Justice and Strong Prosecution
Political party ActionSA has welcomed the arrests, describing them as a crucial step towards justice for Stock and his family.
However, the party has urged the criminal justice system to ensure a thorough and successful prosecution that results in a meaningful sentence for those responsible.
