Cape Town DJ Luwayne Wonder Caught In Loan Shark Drama – Smacked Up Over Unpaid Debt!

Cape Town’s own DJ and Heart FM radio host, Luwayne Wonder, just made headlines again – and not in a good way! This time, it’s not about his messy love life but about a loan shark, an unpaid debt, and a viral smackdown!

Beatings Over “Bookie” Money?!

A wild video surfaced online this weekend, showing Luwayne Wonder (real name Luwayne Bouwers) getting roughed up by a man demanding his money back.

In the 39-second clip, the alleged “loan shark” can be heard calling Luwayne out, swearing at him, and even throwing hands – all while Luwayne stands backed up against a wall in his Heart FM hoodie, blue shorts, and slippers.

The mystery man was not playing! He called Luwayne a “ps” and a “ni”, saying: “Who do you owe money to? How much do you owe me? You’re famous on radio, now I’m gonna make you famous for coke money mos neh?”

As if that wasn’t messy enough, he continued questioning Luwayne, saying: “Is it for coke money? Now you don’t wanna answer because you vark on video. I got all your vark messages on my phone. I’m gonna make you famous, you n**i.”

Luwayne Breaks His Silence: “It Was Just a Loan!”

After going MIA when journalists tried to reach him, Luwayne finally addressed the situation on social media. But not before turning off the comments, of course!

In his statement, he strongly denied the allegations that the money was for drugs and insisted it was just a financial loan.

“He came to my residence asking and needing the money I owed. I couldn’t settle it at the time he was there. The money was a loan which I had taken out from him, and he got word that I had allegedly used the money for substance. It was a financial loan and nothing else I’m being accused of. The loan has been settled by me and the other party.”

Heart FM Distances Itself from the Drama

Heart 104.9 quickly dropped a statement, letting everyone know that this mess has NOTHING to do with them!

“This is a personal matter and unrelated to the station. While we respect the person’s privacy during this difficult time, we remain committed to providing the high-quality broadcasts our listeners expect.

“We trust this radio host will make the best choices for their personal journey with the various platforms available to them should they choose to use them.”
