DJ Fresh Threatens Puma Boycott Over Teboho Mokoena Sponsorship Controversy

In a surprising turn of events, two prominent DJs in South Africa, DJ Fresh and Chynaman, have expressed their intention to boycott sports brand Puma.
Rumours have been circulating that Puma has withdrawn its sponsorship of Teboho Mokoena, a player for Bafana Bafana and Sundowns, due to his comments praising Julius Malema, the controversial politician.
Mokoena caused a stir when he declared Malema as his “favourite president” during an interview at OR Tambo International Airport. His comments received backlash from many who believed that athletes should stay out of politics.
