One user, going by the name MaNdosi, threw shade, questioning why people still shop at second-hand outlets. That was all it took for Dineo to deliver a sharp clap back.

She screenshot the comment, shared it publicly, and schooled her critic on the reality of thrift shopping. Dineo pointed out that not all second-hand stores are in Joburg’s CBD and that there are plenty of trendy thrift spots across the country.

“Not all of them are from Johannesburg CBD,” she explained, before going on to list some of her favourite go-to shops.
