Here’s how it started. Before the gig, Zee innocently asked fans online what she should wear for her Limpopo performance. Sweet, interactive, very influencer-coded.

Then she showed up in a traditional Tsonga xibelani skirt — green and white fringes, cropped top, full performance mode — and posted a fun stage video showing just how wild it was to dance in the thing.

Except. The green and white sent certain corners of the internet completely off the rails. Because green and white is also — as some people were very quick to point out — the colours of the Nigerian flag.
