Truck Boss Fights For His Life After Being Shot While Seated In His Ferrari

Truck boss and Destiny Logistics owner Maxwell Mlangeni survives an assassination attempt. He was shot while seated in his Ferrari in Emalahleni on Tuesday, as confirmed by the police.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson Brigadier Donald Mdhluli said Mlangeni was rushed to hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. The attack took place shortly after he arrived at his business premises on Bethal Road, formerly known as Witbank.

“According to preliminary information, three armed suspects approached his vehicle and opened fire before fleeing the scene,” Mdhluli said.

Additionally, the Ferrari was riddled with bullet holes, and police have opened a case of attempted murder. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.

Authorities have urged anyone with information to assist in the investigation by contacting Colonel One Thobejane of Witbank detectives at 079-891-5845.

According to its website, the truck company was founded in 2011 with a single truck and has since expanded into a major operation with over 200 trucks and 300 employees.

However, Destiny Logistics specialises in transportation services, including tippers, refrigerated vehicles, and flatbeds, while also offering procurement, warehousing, and distribution solutions for large organisations.
