Deadly N2 Crash: One Killed, Three Injured In Horror Head-On Collision Near Mandeni

One person has been killed and three others injured following a serious crash on the N2 near Mandeni on Friday.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson Samantha Meyrick, the collision involved two light motor vehicles that crashed head-on.

“[We are] currently on the scene of a fatal collision on the N2 near Mandini,” she said.

Injuries Range From Minor to Critical as Emergency Teams Respond To N2 Crash

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and treated the injured before transporting them for further medical care.

Meyrick confirmed that the victims sustained injuries of varying severity. “Sadly, one person has been confirmed dead. A further three patients have sustained injuries.”

She said the injuries ranged from minor to critical.

Traffic Chaos as Crash Blocks Lanes on Busy N2 Route

The crash led to significant traffic disruptions along the busy highway, with both directions affected.

“The left-hand lane in both directions is obstructed, and traffic is backing up,” Meyrick said.

Motorists were left stranded as emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage and restore traffic flow.

“Motorists are urged to approach the scene with caution and allow extra travel time,” Meyrick said.
