Dali Mpofu Dumps EFF, Joins MK Party

Former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) chairperson, Advocate Dali Mpofu, has made a political shift by joining the Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) party.

Mpofu, who has been a prominent figure in the EFF since its inception in 2013, has played a pivotal role in the party’s strategies and legal matters as a senior counsel.

High-profile resignations have included former EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu and other key figures such as Busisiwe Mkhwebane and Mzwanele Manyi. Mpofu’s exit could raise concerns about the party’s stability and unity moving forward.

Reasons Behind Joining the MK Party

In an interview with SABC News, Dali Mpofu expressed his belief that MK is the right platform for achieving unity and emancipation within the black community. “After a lot of soul searching, I’ve taken a decision that I will be joining MK. I believe that it is the vehicle through which we will achieve the much-needed black and progressive unity,” he stated.
