Cyan Boujee Accused Of “Luring Girls” Into Russia Human Trafficking Ring After Shady Job Promo

Cyan Boujee is in hot water, chile! The influencer is catching major smoke after pushing a shady “Russia opportunity” for young women — one that social media users are now calling nothing but a human trafficking scam.

From “Dream Jobs” to Drone Factories?

In her TikTok, Cyan hyped up the gig aimed at women aged 18–22 with promises of free flights, free housing, and even job promotions every six months. But according to reports, the reality looks nothing like the fairytale. Instead of cushy jobs or study programs, girls are allegedly being shipped off to drone factories in Russia.

Now? The streets are dragging her, accusing her of “selling fake dreams” to desperate young women. And deleting the video only made things look even more sus.

South Africans online were quick to sound the alarm, accusing influencers of “selling fake dreams” and putting young women in danger. One X user wrote:

“These influencers on TikTok advertise jobs in other countries to help lure South Africans into human trafficking rings. Now they advertising job opportunities in Russia… aren’t y’all seeing all these influencers in Russia too? Y’all stay safe.”

Social Media Drags Cyan Boujee

As soon as her promo video surfaced, the DJ caught heavy backlash. Fans stormed her page with accusations until she finally deleted the video. But deleting didn’t help — the heat only got worse.

Some even claim she’s blocking users who call her out — which only fueled suspicions that she knew what she was promoting.

Government Issues Stern Warning

The backlash got so loud that the Justice, Crime Prevention and Security (JCPS) cluster stepped in with a warning:

“[BEWARE OF ILLEGITIMATE AND/OR UNVERIFIED ’OPPORTUNITIES’ TARGETING YOUNG WOMEN] The video clip circulated by a social media influencer, which purports to promote a 2-year long ‘START PROGRAM’ targeting young women in acquiring professional skills and commencing their careers, is currently under investigation.”

They urged South Africans to verify jobs through official channels like DIRCO or SA embassies abroad — and not to trust influencer promotions.

For now, Cyan Boujee is keeping quiet after deleting her video, but Mzansi is not letting her off the hook. Whether she knew the full story or not, well, “Selling dreams that put girls in danger is unforgivable.”
