Cyan Boujee Admits She Saw Red Flags In Russian Deal But Still Took It: “I Chose Villain Mode”

Cyan Boujee Admits She Saw Red Flags In Russian Deal But Still Took It: “I Chose Villain Mode”

South African controversial social media influencer Cyan Boujee just dropped a confession that had Mzansi dragging her all over again. In a viral video, Cyan admitted she noticed multiple red flags and loopholes in her Russian program deal… but still went ahead with it.

The 24-year-old, who recently celebrated her birthday in August 2025, told fans: “It was in that final moment that I realised my life was over. Am I going to try to fix it?

“Of course, I won’t give up… The discomfort of me being apologetic was due to the fact that I have family, friends, and a partner who know the truth about me. So I might as well act like a villain.”

“I Won’t Intentionally Sell Any Woman” Says Cyan Boujee

Cyan went on to insist she never intended to exploit women and even dragged the people behind the programme, calling them “unprofessional” while recalling how badly her ad shoot was handled. She also threatened to expose the brand if they continued working with other influencers.

“More than anything, I’m worried about the kids. I’m worried so much about the kids because when I interviewed them most of them were not happy, especially with the answers they had to give on camera,” she said.

Cyan Boujee said there was “dodgy stuff” that made her uncomfortable while they were filming the promotional video, including that they were smoking while filming.

“When I asked one of them how things were going, if she was happy with her accommodation and if her roommates were being nice to her, she just cried. I was in disbelief because she was not happy. We had to wait for so long for her to calm down so she could lie and say everything was good.

“I told them that if they were going to work with other influencers, they had to be legit.

“I hope this is really legit because some of the questions I had to ask were ‘is it true that when you have a disease or fall pregnant you are kicked out, you have to book for your own flight?’

“So they had to say ‘no’ but apparently it’s really true. I’m so frustrated. But I hope everything will be OK with time.”

Mzansi Is Not Buying It

Shortly after the clip went viral, netizens flooded the comments — and they weren’t here for her excuses:

@thickleeyonce_: “So many red flags, they were supposed to cut ties and inform others, yho.”

Life with Nomthandazo: “So she saw a girl crying? And she still promoted it?”

@sinahlately: “She’s incriminating herself, I’m afraid.”

@sinovuyokitsi639: “Cyan witnessed the despair and tears of those girls, but still took the paycheck and lied. Sies.”

@MpumiMlambo: “The girl cried, and Cyan continued to push this brand? And she came here arrogant? This is really sad.”

Instead of clearing her name, Cyan Boujee’s confession only made things worse. Many are calling her out for arrogance and refusing to take accountability — while others say she’s digging herself into a deeper hole by admitting she saw the signs but stayed in the deal.

Well, is Cyan Boujee really “acting like a villain” now, or is this the final nail in her influencer career?
