No fewer than 2,281 new cases of COVID-19 and 58 related deaths have been recorded across provinces in South Africa.
This was contained in an update shared on the Twitter page of the Department of Health on Sunday 19th September 2021.
The data indicates that South Africa’s total infection from the pandemic currently stands at 2,882,630 while the fatality toll increased to 86,174.
A breakdown of the Department of Health revealed that Gauteng recorded 914, 083 confirmed cases, Kwazulu-Natal closely followed with 505, 919, Western Cape 506, 200 cases, Free State 159, 011 cases, and a host of other provinces in South Africa.
