Cornubia Woman Brutally Attacked With Beer Bottle In KwaZulu-Natal

What began as a heated argument between two female tenants in Cornubia on Monday evening quickly spiraled into violence. Around 19:00, tensions flared when one of the women allegedly threatened to stab the other with a broken beer bottle.

The homeowner stepped in to separate the women, and one of them left. But what seemed like the end of the conflict would later erupt into a shocking attack.

Men Storm Victim’s Room in Cornubia Before Beer Bottle Assault

Just hours later, at around 22:20, two men entered the victim’s room, asking for her by name. When she refused to step outside, one of the suspects reportedly dragged her out against her will.

“She was assaulted and stabbed with a broken beer bottle,” confirmed Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).

The attackers fled the scene moments later, disappearing into the night, SurgeZirc SA was told.

Reaction Unit South Africa officers rushed to the home at approximately 22:26, but the victim had already been transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. The severity of her injuries remains unknown.

Police are now investigating the brutal attack, and the search for the suspects is ongoing.
