South African DJ and producer Chymamusique has publicly stepped in to support social media personality Athini Bashe following the emotional fallout from his highly publicised breakup with former fiancée Ntandokazi Mzamo.

Bashe, who recently split from his former fiancée Ntandokazi Mzamo, has become the centre of intense online debate after a disturbing video began circulating on X. The clip — now viewed thousands of times — shows him visibly shaken on the side of a Bryanston road, shirtless, crying next to his car before paramedics step in and take him away in an ambulance.

Chymamusique Steps In — Help or PR Move?

Instead of adding fuel to the gossip fire, Chymamusique chose a different route: support.

Taking to X on Thursday, 22 January, the musician made a public appeal to anyone close to Bashe, offering him access to fully paid professional therapy and an invitation to ECUE MEN’S CAMP 5.0 — a space aimed at healing and self-reflection.

“If anyone knows BASH personally, please connect us with him. We would like to offer him tickets to ECUE MEN’S CAMP 5.0 and fully paid therapy to help him recover,” he wrote.

Some applauded the move, praising Chymamusique for opening up conversations around men’s mental health. Others weren’t buying it at all.

One user joked, “She’ll say sorry and he’ll go back.”

Another fired back, “We live with him in the estate. He’s fine. You people are running with false news.”

Meanwhile, more empathetic voices reminded everyone that viral moments don’t erase real pain, with one user admitting regret over recording the video instead of offering help.
