Christall Kay’s Voodoo Doll Stunt Steals Ultimate Girls Trip: Rio

If The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Rio needed a moment to officially cross into reality TV madness, Christall Kay delivered it — with a voodoo doll in hand. What started as a harmless souvenir stop in Rio de Janeiro spiralled into one of the wildest, funniest and most talked-about scenes of the season.
The ladies were simply meant to browse curios and shop like tourists. Instead, Christall walked out holding a doll that had her cast mates frozen, fans screaming at their TVs, and social media doing what it does best: losing its mind.
And according to Christall? None of it was planned.
Christall Kay Says the Voodoo Doll Scene Was NOT Scripted
Speaking openly about the now-viral moment, Christall insisted the incident was completely organic and happened in the heat of the moment. No producer manipulation. No storyline plotting. Just pure, unfiltered chaos.
“Yeah, can I tell you something? This is ridiculous, but I’m just going to be honest,” she said. “I took my sunglasses and just poked that doll. That was not planned.”

She explained that production had simply encouraged the women to pick up small souvenirs while exploring Santa Teresa in Rio. “The production said, ‘Okay, ladies, you can buy a little curio,’” she said, hinting that tensions were already boiling over at the time.
And boiling they were.
Christall and Princess were deep in a heated argument — so intense that even the shop owner stepped in and asked them to lower their voices. That’s when Christall noticed the dolls behind the counter.
“I walked over to the counter, and I saw all these dolls,” she recalled. “I must say, it was a little bit weird.”
‘I’m a Christian’ — But the Doll Still Caused a Stir
Despite how the scene looked on screen, Christall was quick to shut down any assumptions about spiritual practices.
“I don’t obviously practice voodoo. I’m not interested in that. I’m a Christian,” she stressed.
Still, she admitted the dolls immediately stood out to her and resembled what many would identify as voodoo dolls. She also acknowledged the cultural significance of the area they were visiting, without making sweeping claims.
What truly surprised her, however, was how strongly the other housewives reacted.
“I certainly realised that for the ladies, they’d obviously known something about witchcraft, because they were so scared when I took that doll out,” she said. “Honestly, it caused such a ruckus. I was surprised.”
For Christall, the doll became an unexpected release valve in a tense moment. Rather than escalating the argument into something physical, she chose humour.
“I was so frustrated that I couldn’t even talk,” she revealed. “If I screamed the house down, it would be real chaos. We end up fighting and slapping each other.”
Instead, she laughed it off. “It was really a joke in a sense. I just thought it was quite a nice trick to get the little doll.”
And just when viewers thought the madness ended there, Christall dropped a reunion teaser that has fans counting down the days.
“Lisa was my little partner,” she said before adding: “Guess what? I’m bringing her to the reunion, don’t worry.”
Whew. RHUGT: Rio really said no peace, just vibes.
Mzansi, was the voodoo doll moment hilarious TV or completely unhinged? And do you want to see that doll at the reunion or nah?
