Chief Zuma Denied Bail In Murder Case Of DA Councillor Nhlalayenza Ndlovu

Chief Simphiwe Zuma, who faces charges linked to the killing of Democratic Alliance chief whip Nhlalayenza Ndlovu, was denied bail by the Howick Magistrates’ Court.

Ndlovu, a councillor in the DA-led uMngeni Local Municipality, was fatally shot at his home in Mphophomeni in 2023.

Chief Zuma Also Linked to Other Murder Cases

The case has drawn significant attention as Chief Simphiwe is not only accused in Ndlovu’s killing but is also facing murder charges in two unrelated cases.

His involvement in multiple investigations has raised serious concerns in KwaZulu-Natal, a province long plagued by politically linked violence.
