Hip-hop heavyweight Cassper Nyovest is once again the main character on South African social media — and not in a good way.

The rapper found himself trending for all the wrong reasons after he was spotted visiting a sick child in hospital… and Mzansi was not impressed. At all.

A video posted on Friday, 28 November 2025, by @pmcafrica shows Cassper comforting an ill young girl during a hospital visit.

The clip, which quickly racked up more than 82 000 views, should’ve painted him as a national sweetheart — but the internet said, “Not on our watch!”

Cassper was met with a wave of criticism, with many accusing him of “performing for the public” despite being absent during his child’s medical struggles.

And the commentary only intensified when users brought up explosive revelations made by Cassper’s ex, Thobeka Majozi, in 2024.

Majozi publicly revealed that she had to deal with Cassper’s alleged infidelity while their son was battling cancer. According to her, their child was diagnosed at just eight months old, sending her into “an entirely different world” as she navigated oncology wards, chemotherapy and life-threatening surgeries.

“At eight months, my son was diagnosed with cancer… I lived in an oncology hospital for two years with my son as he underwent chemotherapy and life-threatening surgeries,” Majozi wrote, explaining how she fought to protect her son’s privacy while her family life was falling apart.

She further claimed that Cassper began his relationship with his now-wife, Pulane Mojaki, while she was still dating him — and that Mojaki allegedly flaunted the affair despite knowing the child was fighting cancer.
