Cassper Nyovest Dragged For Sipping Tea In Club While Still Selling Alcohol

Cassper Nyovest just can’t catch a break — or maybe he’s just looking for attention at this point. The rapper-turned-pastor (or so he claims) has once again set social media ablaze, this time for… drinking tea in the club.

On 4 October, Cassper took to Instagram to post a video of himself pouring tea from a teapot into a cup — in the middle of a nightclub. In the clip, Cassper takes a dramatic sip before flashing his signature grin. He captioned the post:

“Ever since UNC went Crimson he be acting very different. What’s wrong with uncle C??? This is him at the club last night.”

But instead of applause for staying sober, Mzansi dragged him to the heavens and back for hypocrisy — especially since he’s still promoting his alcoholic drink brand, Billiato.

From “Scorpion Kings Sermon” to “Tea in the Club”

Just weeks ago, Cassper was trending for turning the Scorpion Kings concert into a full-blown church service — mic in hand, preaching mid-performance. Now, he’s back in the spotlight for allegedly trying too hard to prove his “born-again” lifestyle.

Fans say he’s using spirituality as a PR tool, pointing out that he’s preaching holiness on one hand while making money off liquor on the other.

Mzansi Reacts: “Cassper Nyovest is making it too easy to be disliked!”

Twitter (X) and Instagram comment sections were on fire, with fans calling out his “holy act.”

  • @njayamjunior: “Why do people who do this always wanna be SEEN that they’re having tea?”
  • @_lembz: “Show off.”
  • @chiefcebo: “Hypocrisy at its best.”
  • @simpleext: “As if he can’t put alcohol inside the tea.”
  • @Reggie063: “As if he doesn’t have Billiato to promote 🤣🤣.”
  • @belle_bass: “I think it’s Herbex Tea 😩😔.”
  • @inkuziumthiya: “Bro is making it too easy to be disliked 😂😂.”
  • @xfileusers: “He wants to act holy while selling alcohol to the youth. He must drop that Billiato thing if he’s really reformed.”
  • @asansakhanyile: “Not drinking alcohol at a club just because o claim’a o mo krestu is the same as David going to hell just to drink water. 🧐”
  • @zyantolo7: “He loves getting attention, this one. Like that boy who was too fat to get attention when he was young, then later got fame… just like Mbalula.”

Cassper Nyovest’s rebrand might be serving too much tea and not enough authenticity. Maybe next time, Uncle C should leave the teapot at home — or at least the camera.
